A rich couple visit that orphanage and wanted to adapt one of these two guys. Arya and Ajay use a toss to decide their fortunes. Arya wins, but lets Ajay go as he thinks that friendship is all about giving. Ajay grows up as a rich man and Arya grows up as a poor guy. Ajay starts a software company and Arya joins him as an employee. Geeta is the new employee of the company. Both Ajay and Arya fall in love with her. The rest of the story is all about how these two guys try to make Geeta fall for them. Artists Performance Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun is perfect as Arya. His character in the movie has the qualities of a psychotic and he portrayed the character flawlessly. He shined in emotional scenes in the second half of the movie. Allu Arjun is probably the best dancer of current era in Tollywood. That is the reason why he made hugely difficult dances appear fluid and effortless in the first four songs of the movie. Others: Kajal Agarwal is good as a girl who is not committed to any guy at heart. She rendered the image of a typical confused girl about love. Navadeep is nice as a guy with selfish and practical thinking. He is extremely good with histrionics when he delivers dialogues to Allu Arjun at hospital in the climax scene. Shraddha Das is gorgeous in a brief role. Ajay is excellent as Subba Reddy, mainly due to entertaining characterization. Brahmanandam is partly entertaining. Mukesh Rushi is adequate. An actor with better command on Rayalaseema dialect would have done justice to Sayaji Shinde’s role. Technical departments  Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the movie is about the conflict of love (Geeta) and friendship (Ajay) of a confused guy (Arya) with psychotic tendencies caused due to loneliness in life. Making a movie based on such a characterization is a highly risky proposition and director Sukumar partly succeeds in it. Sukumar is basically an intelligent guy with a flair for parallel thinking. His intelligence and creativity is shown in conceiving certain scenes of the movie like 1. Using a bubble gum to decide who is going to be hero’s best friend (just like throwing stone into empty cup in Arya) 2. Hero wearing glasses to see the heroine clearly in his dreaming because heroine appears blurred. (montage shot of 2nd song) 3. Love letter episode 4. The drinking scene between Arya and Subba Reddy 5. With one dialogue (Aayanaku champentha kopam vunte, naaku chachipoyentha prema vundi), the love angle of entire movie is justified. Sukumar is also extremely good at penning screenplay for some part of the movie. The best example is the way he distributes three characters in a stand-off of second half (like puli, meka, gaddi story we listen when we were kids). However, there is a major glitch in Arya 2 compared to Arya movie. In Arya movie, hero is shown as a guy with mischief and he sincerely fights for a girl because he loves her. When he wants to chase a girl with sincerity, audience would love it and follow the hero character with empathy. Hence there is emotional involvement for hero’s character from audiences. In Arya 2, hero would be sincerely chasing the girl to take her and give it to his friend. Hence, there in less involvement from audiences point of view. So, there will not be sympathy for hero when he loses girl and there will not be feeling of triumph (from audiences involvement angle) when hero finally gets the girl. Another major obstacle in the movie is the factor of confusion. The character of hero vacillates between the feelings of selfishness and sacrifice throughout the movie. The director cleared the confusion only towards the climax.  Other departments: Songs of Arya 2 are excellent to listen and I was a bit hesitant about director doing justice to the songs on the screen. Sukumar comes up with a fabulous job of canning all the songs with energy and verve. Background music is also good. Cinematography by Rajasekhar is of top class. Credit for lush visuals should also be given to EFX & Prime Focus (DI) and Pixelloid (VFX). Dialogues are well written. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is good. Production standards by Aditya Arts banner (Aditya Babu and Bhogavally Prasad) are of top-notch. Analysis: First half is is not gripping due to lack of conflict point. Around 45 minutes of the movie in first half where Arya tries to make Geeta fall for him appears redundant. Second half is better than the first half. The last 15 minutes is clear as the director reveals the real character of Arya, thus relieving us of confusion. The plus points of the movie are creative scenes, Allu Arjun, songs (dances) and technical values. On the flipside, psychotic orientation and confusion in hero’s characterization doesn’t get audiences involved in the movie intently. The runtime of the movie is also high. On a whole, Arya 2 is a different film that can appeal to A centers and class crowds.

Mahalakshmi's father Somaraju (Prakash Raj) is a millionaire and he keeps 24-hour security on her at the college so that nobody eyes his daughter. Bunny makes Mahalakshmi fall head over heels for him. Somaraju is so fond of his daughter that he can't see her cry. Hence Somaraju is forced to accept the love between his daughter and Bunny. Bunny then asks for the property of Somaraju to be written on his name prior to marriage. The crux of the story is all about the whereabouts of Bunny and why he asks for the property. Artists Performance Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun gave another scintillating performance as Bunny. He is pretty stylish in his mannerisms. His dances are full of energy and verve. Fights (city based) are impressive. His dialogue delivery is good, but there is lot of scope for improvement. He needs to get the words flow in free rhythm. He is pretty effective in teasing scenes. Others: Debutant actress Gowri Mumjal is adequate. Tamil hero Sarath Kumar did a vital role in this film. His body language has Tamil scent in it and the guy who dubs for Rajnikant dubbed the voice of Sarath Kumar. Prakash Raj is extremely impressive with his performance. The greatness about his performance is that he makes his co-actors get the credit with his response/reaction to the situations. Raghu Babu's comedy is the highlight of this film. This character is the most impressive character done in the career of Raghu Babu. MS Narayana is remarkable as the principle. And for a change, he doesn't booze in this film. The guy who did sidekick to Raghubabu has a noteworthy role in this film. Sarath Saxena is adequate as the pal of Sarath Kumar. Mukesh Rushi is OK as the villain, but the voice given to him sounds monotonous. Seeta & Sudha are satisfactory. Venu Madhav is good as the peon who gives retorts to principal. K Viswanath did a guest role. Technical Departments: Story: Story of the film deals with Polavaram project, which is an ambitious one. By having Polvaram project as main objective, the first half deals with love episodes of hero and second half deals with mama - allullu thread. The underlying logics and complication behind Polavaram project were not considered in an academic style. It's a predictable storyline in the lines of past Vinayak's films. Screenplay - direction: VV Vinayak has chosen a story that has very good commercial value. VV Vinayak's direction of the film is good. By keeping the image and body language of Allu Arjun in mind, he narrated the entire film in lighter vein mode (except for flashback and climax episodes). Screenplay of the film is smooth. But the story of the film is predictable. Vinayak excelled in executing the mind games played by hero on Prakash Raj and his henchmen. But he could not establish the basic objective of Polavaram Project in an effective way. Though used for entertainment, taking out the eyes and replacing them later appears farce. The story also lacks any powerful villain who can match the wits of hero. Music: Music by Devi Sri Prasad falls short of expectations we have after Arya. But, two mass songs (Maro Maro and Bunny Bunny) are excellent. Vareva Vareva song has lot of zest and spirit in it. The melody 'Jabilammavo' (sung by DSP's brother Sagar) is soulful. The background score is good except for too much of 'sup sup' sounds. The usage of rap and other instruments to elevate comedy scenes is efficient. Picturization of the songs is excellent. They used a different choreographer for each song to make sure that each song has different steps and approach towards it. Three songs are taken in sets and three in outdoors. The sets erected for Bunny Bunny song are extravagant. Photography: Photography by Chota K Naidu is excellent. It is sad that we are not seeing him work for more number of films. His last Telugu film was Tagore. The colors he captured for this film are brilliant. And there is so much of elegancy in his work. Dialogues: Dialogues by Rajendra Kumar are adequate. Here are a couple of dialogues worth mentioning - Allu Arjun to Gowri: Premaku nammkam punadi. Anumanam Samadhi. Prakash Raj to Arjun: Era naa intlo vunte. Neeku bone lo vunnatlunda? Allu Arjun: Puli ekkada vunna pule. Adavilo vunna. Bone lo vunna. Raghubabu to Prakash Raj: Anna ee dialogue already patha cinemalo SV Ranga Rao kottaadanna. Other departments: City-based fights composed by Kanal Kannam are striking. Art work by Ashok Kumar is good. Editing by Gowtam Raju is neat. Production values by debutant producer Mallidi Satyanaraya Reddy are brilliant. Analysis: First half of the film is entertaining. Second half has more comedy content due to the scenes revolving around Prakash Raj. The flashback episode of Sarath Kumar is average. The climax of the film appears extended as logically the film ends when Prakash Raj changes into good man. The entire film is narrated in an entertaining style by inserting humor as and when possible. The director did not even spare climax for this. He inserted a satire on Reliance Petroleum (free ad) when climax verbal duel is going on in full swing. On a whole, Bunny is a decent urbane oriented entertainer if you don't mind the predictable storyline and certain logics. You can watch it.

Madhumati (Genelia) is the daughter of a caste-based politician and studies MBBS. Bunny and Madhumati meet each other in a strange situation and are forced to get married in an unforeseen situation. The rest of the story is all about how this couple who never had any intention of love find soul mates in each other. Artists Performance Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun has given his career best performance in the last 2 minutes of this film. Allu Arjun’s characterization in this film is of a typical happy-go-lucky guy. That’s a tailor-made role for him and he did it with great élan. Dances have always been a big asset to Allu Arjun and his steps in ‘Vassa’ song make masses go crazy. There is stylishness in Arjun and his wardrobe is pretty good. Others: Genelia has got lots of scope for performance in this film and she did exceptionally well. Manoj Bajpai impresses everybody with his cameo. The one who did the role of evil cop has shown intensity in his performance. Rama Prabha, Tanikella Bharani, Suman Setty and Jahnavi are adequate. Technical Departments: Story - screenplay - direction: Direction by Karunakaran is fairly good. There are a few scenes in the film (hero behaving like God scene, a replica hero dancing when genelia sits on his bike for the first time) that shows the exceptional creativity of the director. Screenplay of the film is smooth, but for the last 25 minutes. Karunakaran’s ability to chip in sweet nothings in songs is exemplary. The scene in which heroine shows door to hero in the second half is unconvincing. Music and songs: Music by Yuan Shankar Raja is excellent. All songs are well picturized with nice themes. The best song of the film is ‘Ye Hrudayam’. Here is the description of each song n the order of appearance - 1. Hyderabadi: This song showcase the landmarks of Hyderabad coupled with riveting dances of Allu Arjun. Probably a song is shot for the first time at Buddha statue in Hussain Sagar. This song is merged into narration and shows how hero got settled in Hyderabad. 2. Happy: This song has a theme. The best thing about this song are the editing cuts by Anthony. The set was used pretty creatively to narrate the song theme with right picturization. On a whole it’s a typical music video kind of song done with high quality. 3. Vassa Vassa: This is a massive mass number of Happy album. Mass steps composed by Ashok Raj rocks masses away. It is a set song and Allu Arjun shows his dancing prowess again with this song. The way director made Manoj Bajpai sing the first lyric of the song and clubbed such a mass song into narration smoothly is innovative. 4. I hate you: This song comes as the first song after the marriage. It is a very trendy song that has teasing elements. It is shot on the mean leads and their friends. It is another creative song. 5. Egire Mabbulona: This song is the best song of Happy. And its scored high in all aspects - lyrics, situation, music, melody and theme. Karunakaran canned this song with lots of dexterity. This song shows the blossoming of love between the lead pair. 6. Nee Kosam: It is another good song that is used for the separation of the couple with ample flashback scenes. Other Departments: Photography by RD Raja Sekhar is exceptional. Editing by Anthony is cool and trendy. His editing cuts in songs are good. Set work by Chinna is first-rate. Fx work is really fine, especially the titles animtion. Fights are adequate. Dialogues by Kona Venkat and Swamy are good. Production values by Geetha Arts banner are exceptionally good. Analysis: First half of the film is entertaining and promising. Second half is adequate. The last half an hour of the film does not gel well with the rest of the film. However, the last 2 minutes of the film is heart-touching. The plus points of the film are Allu Arjun, songs picturization, technical values and comedy. On the flip side, tempo in the latter part of the second half went down. On a while, Happy is a happy film watch for its songs and comedy.

He likes Geeta (Anuradha Mehta) and proposes her. When she refuses, he threatens that he would jump from the college top. Being a meek girl, Geeta accepts the proposal and starts dating him. Arya (Allu Arjun) is a carefree guy with positive attitude. He falls in love with Geeta at the first sight. He proposes her in front of her boyfriend. She bluntly refuses. The rest of the film is all about how he wins Geeta with his attitude and positive outlook. Artists Performance Allu Arjun: If you attribute the success of Gangotri to K Raghavendra Rao and write off Allu Arjun as a hero, you are in a soup. With his exceptionally great performance in 'Arya', hero Allu Arjun announces that he is here to stay and to leave a mark of his own. All those guys who admire Chiranjeevi's dancing skills would end up thinking like how great it would have been if Chiranjeevi ever get someone compose dances like Allu Arjun has done in 'Takadhinatom' song. Allu Arjun is simply awesome in dances. He is natural in his histrionics. He is amazing in stunt sequences. However, he looks like imitating Pawan Kalyan (of Kushi) in few college scenes. He also needs to get his dialogues modulated in the right way. He has a cool dressing sense. Anuradha Mehta: Anuradha Mehta is OK. She looks good in half sarees towards the climax of the film. She did well with in her limits. She has a broader frame and has certain similarities to Katrina Kaif. Savita's dubbing has become monotonous these days. They should have tried a fresh dubbing artist for Anuradha. Others: Siva is good as adamant, at times confused, lover. He generated comedy in few scenes where he shows his frustration. Subbaraju is terrific as henchman to villain. Vidya is natural and lovable as the friend of heroine. Venu Madhav and Devi Charan got good footage and generated neat comedy. Babloo did the roll of hero's buddy. Sunil did a guest role of a TT called 'Punch Falaknama'. The kids in the film also have done well. Technical Departments: Story - Screenplay - dialogues - direction: Story of the film is wafer-thin. It is absolutely impossible to direct a flick with such a frail story line. But the debutant Sukumar handled this film with terrific characterizations and an extraordinary screenplay. The director Sukumar has exhibited great sensibility while executing few shots in the film. He fails you to guess the next scene most of the times. I do often wonder while looking at a few Tamil films that why our Telugu directors cannot execute such creative shots. Here is an answer in the form of Sukumar. Dialogues by Sukumar are apt and are sprinkled with sensible humor. Simple and effective like 'Repu morning - Arya ki warning'! Here are few scenes that leave a lasting impression - 1. The heroine asks Arya in the beginning of the film: 'Enduku extralu chestunnav' The same heroine says to Arya in the climax: Kasepu nenu Arya laga, nuvvu nenu laaga anukundama?' That is the beauty of Arya's characterization. In the beginning of the film, you end up thinking why hero is doing extras. And as the film progresses, you fall in love with that character. 2. The love letter written by Arya. The following scene of girls reading it out in a classical song mode. The subsequent hate letter to the heroine's friend. 3. The scene in which Arya cracks his whip up on surroundings of baddies instead of attacking them in order to show what he is capable of doing. 4. The birthday gift Arya gives to Geeta. 5. The driving scene where Arya shows variation in the pitch of his voice as per the visibility of Geeta in the mirror. 6. The scene in which Arya leads Siva and Geeta to railway station and coolly says - 'vallu vaste appudu parigette badulu. Mundu parigetti vallaku chikkakunda vundadam manchidi kada'. 7. The entire thread of Arya trying to score goal by putting a stone into a cup placed at a distance. 8. The scene in which they do the role play and she proposes to Arya that she loves him. And the subsequent scene where Geeta leaves crying. (Actually the director has shown it effectively how other people get hurt when you refuse the proposal). 9. The scene in which the kids come up with a farewell gift to Geeta. Music: Music by Devi Sri Prasad is extraordinary. Be it songs or background score. Devi Sri Prasad has exhibited his command over all departments of music and came up with a complete musical. It is nice to see Devi Sri Prasad reaching great heights at a young age. His music is full of energy and verve. Here is the description of six songs as per the order in the film 1. Takadhimithom: It is the introduction song for hero. Allu Arjun proves that he is the best among the youth heroes when it comes to dancing. He has got grace. He is at home as he makes the most difficult steps appear casually done on the screen. Choreographer Harish Pai came up with some awesome stuff. 2. Feel My Love: It is a melody song picturized on hero about how much he loves heroine. It is a montage song. Nixon choreographed this song. There is so much of rhythm in the body language of Allu Arjun. He improvised few steps of Michael Jackson and performed with a great élan. Chandra Bose's lyrics for this song depict the exact state of mind of Arya. 3. You Rock My World: This is the song before interval. It's a pub song where Allu Arjun breaks into song to entertain crowds. Raju Sundaram has done a fantastic job for this song. It's a hip and happening song. 4. Oh My brotheru: It's an entertaining situational song where hero expresses the luxuries and comforts of being a one-sided lover. There is so much of philosophical (with simple words) meaning in the lyrics of Sirivennela. Ashok choreographed for this cool song. 5. Aa ante Amalapuram: This is the fifth song in the film. It's a complete mass item number picturized atop of a moving train (like Chayya Chayya of Dil Se film) on Allu Arjun and Abhinaya Sri. Shankar choreographed it. It falls little short of what we expect after listening to the song in audio player. 6. Nuvvante: This is the best song in the film as far as the content is concerned. It's situational song which provides some privacy to Arya and Geeta so that they can explore the feelings of each other. Photography: The photography by Ratnavelu is amazing. The first shot of the film itself shows the class of this new cinematographer. You find the visual richness that can only be found in the films that are directed by Mani Ratnam. Ratnavelu is extremely creative, immensely talented and has got a great future ahead. Other departments: Stunts by Ram Lakshman are very powerful. The fights are measured ones, efficient and are very believable. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is crisp. I liked the editing cuts during the titles part a lot. Art work is trendy. Locations chosen are rare and they ooze freshness. Production values of this film are lavish. Producer Raju should be commended for selecting such a sensible storyline and employing the perfect cast and crew. Inspirations: Here are certain inspirations we notice in this film 1. The crucial dialogue of Nuvvu Kavali (Naaku vaadikanna mundu I Love You enduku cheppaledu) is re-used in this film for a vital scene as it is. 2. The climax of the film is a typical Trivikramish one. Hero - being a too good to believe guy - doing arrangements at the heroines marriage ala Nuvvu Naaku Nachav. Analysis: First half of the film is full of fun. The second half is good. The last half an hour of the film (especially after the last song) is great. You feel like you are watching a Mani Rathnam film. Thanks to majestic visuals (Rathnevelu - cinematographer), splendid music (Devi Sri Prasad - music director) and marvelous framing (Sukumar - director)! There is a soul in the film and you end up having a thin layer of tears in your eyes while leaving the theater. This film announces the arrival of Sukumar - director - a class apart. 'Arya' is a must watch film for all Telugu film lovers. Don't miss it!! Trade Talk: This film has generated unanimous super hit talk all over. This film was bought for 42 lakhs for Krishna territory. If we add the cost of print and publicity it would go up to 50 lakhs. This film is expected to amass a share of 80 lakhs to 1 crores in long run in Krishna territory. The range of success of 'Arya' would depend on how other films fare relatively in this summer season. This film has got typical urban look. Hence it may find less success in B and C centers.

He has a loyal confidant called Narasimha (Suman), who is willing to give his life for the sake of his master. After gap of many years, Neelakanta Naidu's wife gives a birth to a baby daughter. But all the earlier babies born to Neelakanta Naidu expired due to some unknown reason. The priests advise Neelakanta to name his daughter as 'Gangotri' (Aditi Agarwal). They also warn Neelakanta that the kid is having 'jalagandam', hence they ask Neelakanta to take Gangotri to the holy place of Gangotri in Himalayas and do the 'abhyangana snanam' (bath with turmeric, milk etc.) for the next 15 years. After 15 years, Gangotri would be free of any dangers. When nobody could entertain the kid Gangotri; Simhadri (Allu Arjun) - the son of Narasimha - makes her smile by entertaining her with a song. Simhadri becomes a servant cum friend to Gangotri. They grow together. In the mean time mother of Simhadri (Seeta) sacrifices her life to save Neelakantam. When Gangotri attains puberty, Gangotri's aunt (Sakuntala) restricts Simhadri from meeting Gangotri. Gangotri and Simhadri realize that they fell in love. When Simhadri comes to Gangotri's place clandestinely to meet her, they are caught red-handed by Neelakantam. Neelakantam beats Simhadri. Meantime, Narasimha comes to the spot and interferes. This causes a rift between Neelakantam and his trusted lieutenant Narasimha. Neelakantam is misinformed about Narasimha's intentions; hence he bombs the house of Narasimha. Simhadri is away at that time. When Simhadri comes to know that Neelakantam is responsible for the bombing, he comes to Neelakantam's house and challenges that he would marry Gangotri in 365 days. Then Simhadri reaches Gangotri and waits for his ladylove to come to that place for the final 'abhyangana snanam' (sacred bath). The rest of the film is about how Simhadri and Gangotri unite together. Artists: Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun - the son of ace producer Allu Arvind and nephew of Megastar Chiranjeevi - is launched with a dream project directed by K Raghavendra Rao. On the looks front, Arjun is pretty average. He has shown the sparks of brilliancy with his histrionics in a few vital scenes (scene challenging Prakash Raj and the climax scene). He did well in sentiment scenes as well. His voice needs some toning and modulation. He looked odd wearing those knickers in the first half (pre-puberty days). In the second half (post-puberty days) he looked good. Every actor has weaknesses and strengths. Allu Arjun should choose roles that amplify his strength and nullify his weaknesses. But unfortunately, his main asset of dancing talent has gone unnoticed because of not having many mass tunes in this film. Vijayan composed good fights for Arjun in the climax. Aditi Agarwal: She looks pretty tender in the role of Gangotri. Since she has to be shown as a small girl in the first half, the glamour aspect was not touched. In the second half, she is glamorous in the song of 'Nuvvu Nenu Kalisunte'. Prakash Raj: Prakash Raj gets the lion share of footage in this film. By now, Prakash Raj has done so many roles that he nothing new to offer when he attempt these kind of roles. However, there are a couple of scenes where he was fresh. Others: Suman is very smart in this film, but has a limited role to play. Seeta too has a short role, but she is at her best. Sunil made a special appearance as a master in this film. His dance (wearing a red shirt, red pants and white shoes) with Arjun for Mavayyadi Mogalturu song is hilarious. Tanikella Bharani played a positive role. Technical Departments: Story - Screenplay: Story of the film has few drawbacks: 1. There is no justification about why Suman is willing to give his life to his master Prakash Raj, without bothering about his wife and son. 2. When Suman had an argument with Prakash Raj and comes back, he is misinterpreted as he has joined hands with rivals of Prakash Raj. With that information Prakash Raj summons his goons to bomb Suman's house. But the real nature of Suman and his loyalty towards his master was not revealed to Prakash Raj through any character later. Hence this thread becomes an incomplete one. 3. Seeta ties bells to the neck-thread of Suman so that he would listen to ringing of bells whenever he tries to kill somebody. Those ringing bells remind him of his family and hence discourage him from indulging in any violence. But later on, those same bells are tied to the wrist-thread of Arjun. Those bells mainly help him in fighting with the goons in the second half. Hence the bells, which were meant to preach non-violence, are used for violence. 4. Since hero and heroine are childhood friends, the moments when they fall in love with each other and the incidents where their friendship turns into love relationship has to be shown very carefully. He established the scene of showing heroine's affection to hero very well (in stone throwing incident). But he did not have a gripping scene where and when the hero falls in love with heroine. Chinni Krishna has the habit of using a divine element in his stories. Likewise, this story mainly revolves on the holy place called 'Gangotri' - the birthplace of river Ganges. In the first half, he has shown the elements of faction fights. But the second half takes a turn and rivalry shifts towards Prakash Raj and Arjun. Chinni Krishna has also given screenplay for the film. Screenplay of the film is pretty slow in the first half and erratic in the second half. Direction: When K Raghavendra Rao - the legend of Telugu cinema - directs his 100th venture - the expectations are pretty high. And it's very difficult for anybody to satisfy that kind of expectations. K Raghavendra Rao is known for his exceptional handling of songs department. His mark is evident in all songs. He is also pretty good at inserting songs into storyline without disturbing the flow. He managed well in establishing the characters in the first half. But he could not handle the second half of the film in a proper manner. The climax should have been better. Dialogues: Dialogues by Viswanath are good. He should have added more humor to the dialogues. Music: The main asset of the film is mellifluous and melodious tunes by Keeravani. Here are the sequences of songs in the film. 1. Jeevana Vahini: This song comes as backdrop for the titles of the film. Various scenically beautiful locales where river Ganges flows are shown. This is the theme song of the film and the same music is repeated in various scenes. 2. Vallanki Pitta: This song starts as the song between two kids (Gangotri and Simhadri). By the time the song is completed, the kids grow up. 3. Railu Bandi: This song explains the journey of Gangotri train through seven states. 4. Mavayyadi Mogalturu: This song is the highlight of the film. Allu Arjun did extremely well in the female get-up. The way he seduces and dances with Sunil is superb. This is the best mass song of the film. Lawrence choreography helped this song a lot. 5. Oka Thotalo: K Raghavendra Rao has his typical style of showing symbolism. When heroine attains puberty, the camera moves on to a flourished flower. Hero comes to entertain heroine's 'pushpavati function' by singing a song on heroine by comparing her to a flower. 6. Nuvvu Nenu Kalisunte: This is the best song of the film. KRR used all kinds of fruits in this song for a great effect. Allu Arjun does a couple of mass steps in this song. This songs comes as a separation song with heroine in AP and hero in Gangotri. 7. Ganga: Another song on Ganga symbolizing the love between lead pair to the purity of river Ganges. Photography: Photography by Chota K Naidu is excellent. He captured the beauty of Gangotri and other holy places with camera and presented us with the virtual tour of holy places. Production: The movie comes from the stable of two of the most prestigious producers of Telugu cinema - Aswini Dutt and Allu Arvind. The production values are very rich. Analysis: First half of the film is decent as it establishes basic characters. But the tempo has not picked up in the second half. Hence the second half has become very slow. The climax of lead pair going into unconsciousness (or death?) and coming back to life again is not appealing. Over all its an average film. The plus points of the film are the good songs followed by photography. The minus point of the film is lack of comedy (except for Sunil's episode and AVS episode). We have to wait and see how this summer release is going to quench the thirst of Box Office.

There he meets a sanyasini Vaishali (Hansika Motwani) and falls in love with her. The rest of the story is about how he wins the love of Vaisali and makes sure that Ponnu Swamy goes behind the bars. Artists Performance Allu Arjun: Allu Arjun developed a six-pack body for this film and made sure that all his muscles are shown well in fights and dances. He is amazing at dances to such an extent that you end up wondering if the frame rate is increased make the dances appear swift than as usual. He is good in fights too. Others: Hansika Motwani is beautiful with tender looks. There is no scope for histrionics in this role. Pradeep Rawat, Jeeva and Subbaraju are adequate as Tamil guys settled in Hyderabad. Ali steals the show again as Gudumba Shankar. The way he does dole dole (Pokiri film) step with his hands is hilarious. Raghubabu is in his elements in second half. Telangana Sakuntala is loud. Ramaprabha is neat. Ajay is good as the mute goon. Rambha did an item song. Technical Departments: Story - screenplay dialogues - Direction: Story of the film is wafer-thin and goes on predictable lines. Direction by Puri Jagan is good in parts. Puri Jagan’s films always stand out for a powerful and unique characterization of hero. But the same can’t be applied for this film. He created good relief by having Ali’s TV episodes at regular intervals. Dialogues are adequate.  Other departments: Music by Chakri is good. Picturization of the songs is also good. However, the editing cuts in 4th and 6th song are so fast that the dance steps by Allu Arjun do not register into the minds of viewers. The camera work is random in the last song. The dance bit in which Allu Arjun covers his head with the t-shirt is pretty cool. The 5th song (inspired by Dil Se title song) is beautifully picturised on the beach (setwork is pretty good). All songs in the first half are good. Cinematography by Shyam K Naidu is good. He exploited the beautiful locales of Himachal Pradesh very well. But in some of the scenes (the long shots in cave) the picture is blurred. Fights by Vijayan are good. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is neat except for fast editing cuts for songs in second half. The theme for the titles is pretty cool. Analysis: First half of the film appeals to youth with love episodes in Kulu Manali. Second half caters to masses with racy action sequences. The plus points of the film are Allu Arjun’s work, Ali’s comedy thread and racy action episodes. On the flipside, the emotions are not established well between the lead pair in the first half. Puri Jagan has the habit of simplifying things (which critics don’t like) and playing it to the galleries to suit the tastes of majorities. The success of Desamuduru depends on how youth receive this film.

These four people take rebirth after 400 years in the contemporary era. Harsha (Ram Charan Teja) is a race biker. He falls in love with Indu (Kajal Agarwal). And a bad guy called Raghuveer is after her. The rest of the story is all about how they trace themselves back to the past and settle the unfinished business. Artists Performance Ram Charan Teja: Ram Charan’s performance in his debut film Chiruta is like a show reel of what he is capable of doing. In this movie, he gets an opportunity to do some real good performance and he performs them convincingly with effortless ease. And he had gone through tremendous physical toil in this film as it involves horse riding, sword fighting, dances and many more. His dance in Bangaru Kodipetta after the completion of Chiranjeevi’s appearance is stunning. He is gifted with a good voice and he should fine tune it further to come up with pristine Telugu diction. Kajal Agarwal: Kajal Agarwal is the surprise pack of this movie. She never looked so gorgeous and lovely in her earlier movies. She is overwhelming in this movie. Soumya who dubbed her voice came up with fabulous job in the first half where heroine’s naughty and is in love. However, she needs to come up with better dubbing for emotional scenes and serious episodes.. Others: Chiranjeevi did a special appearance in Bangaru Kodi Petta remix song. Srihari has relatively small screen presence. But his role is extremely powerful. He is excellent as Share Khan and his get-up and dialogue delivery is superb. And his Srikakulam dialect in the second half is very nice. The guy who did the role of villain has sharp features and he is adequate. Rao Ramesh is excellent in the role of Aghora. His voice and body language is wonderful. Sameer is good as the deputy of Srihari. Sunil and Brahmanandam are adequate. Mumaith Khan danced with Ram Charan Teja in Bangaru Kodi Petta. Kim Sharma did another item song. One wonders what Saloni is doing in this movie? Technical departments Story - screenplay - directon: Story of the movie is about rebirths. Rajamouli opened the movie by revealing the story right in the first episode. The challenge lies in Rajamouli’s handling of telling the story interestingly to the audiences though audiences know what he is going to narrate. Screenplay of the movie is good and the Rajamouli trade mark commercial paybacks are nicely inserted at regular intervals. Rajamouli who made a self-confession in the past that he is weak at narrating love stories makes a nice effort to come up with a convincing love story that penetrates eras and generations. The following three episodes are visually extraordinary 1. The opening sequence. 2. The shot where hero and heroine go to Bhairava to perform poojas. 3. The shot involving of elevating camera on top angle between two pillars in flashback episode. The following commercial payoffs will work big time 1. White Chunni thread (just like the thread of medal in Yamadonga film) 2. Picking up four important characters from the past and get them closer in the current time. 3. Ending the movie from where it started in the opening episode (usage of same weapons, location, sentiment etc) 4. Aghora tells villain how to recognize the hero. And the same symptoms occur during helicopter fight before interval. The following scenes will create an impact: 1. The horse coming back to help the sinking hero. 2. Kill 100 people episode (inspired by 300 movie killing style where killing is shown more like poetry than a gore element). The opening credits have the counting of 100 as the backdrop and we realise the importance of it only after watching the last fight of the flashback. The following scenes are mediocre: 1. The basis of heroine misunderstanding hero is too flimsy. 2. Srihari’s car colliding with chopper looks comical in the serious fight of climax. . Other departments: Rajamouli should be appreciated for giving due credit to all his technicians by dedicating a full-song to them during the end titles of the movie. Watching that was fun. Songs scored by MM Keeravani are little disappointing when you listen to them on the stereo. But they are good on screen with visuals. Background music is excellent. Cinematography by Senthil Kumar is very good. It is extremely difficult to recreate the era of 400 years old and art direction by Ravinder is splendid. Fights composed by Peter Hynes are excellent. Dialogues by Ratnam are good. Styling by Rama Rajamouli is very good and you can see chic colors in the costumes worn by the lead pair in abroad song. Editing is good. Visual effects are nice. So is digital intermediate. But at the same time, there seem to be inconsistency in visuals throughout the movie. Some of the visuals are excellent and some of the visuals are good and some other are mediocre. Visuals are the results of combined effort of cinematographer, art director, visual effects department, DI team and film processing lab. One can see inconsistency in the postproduction of the movie. Production values of Geeta Arts are impressive and it is one of the biggest spent movie of Telugu film industry. Analysis: Opening episode of the movie is superb. First half of the movie is nice and second half is decent. The tempo goes down right after the flashback episode as it’s everybody’s guess that what follows is a predictable climax. The plus points of the movie are Ram Charan Teja, novel subject of rebirth, flashback episode, grandeur and commercial pay offs. On the flipside, there is tremendous scope for improvement in the second half. On a whole, Magadheera might not be a great film. But it is a good entertainer with nicely packed commercial elements and grandeur. Go and watch it in a theatre near you with nice projection and good sound system. Tailpiece: There is uncanny resemblance to Arundhati and Magadheera stories. Both these films are about incarnations. Both these movies have aghora episodes. And villain lusts heroine and that forms the central conflict point in both these movies.

In the last segement of the fashion show, the Ram Charan walked the ramp, the first time any telugu star did that. Soon, his cousin Allu Arjun walked the ramp along with Shruti Haasan, representing the new breed of South Indian cinema. Allu Arjun’s tribute to Micheal Jackson: Usually male stars in the South do not perform on stage. But, Allu Arjun once again swam against the tide breaking age-old traditions and danced to a medley of Micheal Jackson’s popular tunes. The crowd was in awe of his performance. Arjun recollected that his studio where he practices dance, has poster of three people who are his idols – Micheal Jackson, Chiranjeevi and Prabhudeva. And Prabhudeva who was in the audience, was moved and came on stage on Arjun’s request and performed the moon-walk, MJ’s trademark step along with him. The host for the evening Ganesh Venkatraman aptly summed it up that it was a rare moment to see both the Micheal Jacksons of India performing together on stage. A large number of stars from all four industries attended the event including Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, Prabhu Deva, Nayanthara, Shriya Saran, Dhanush, Lakshmi Rai, Sharmila Mandre, Shraddha Das and many more. Ram Charan Teja to follow Amir Khan style story selection. He has an open mind and inclination to experiment and change the genres. Like Amir Khan delivered the path breaking bug-budget period saga Lagaan, Ram Charan Teja did Magadheera. Just like Amir Khan did Dil Chahta Hain after Lagaan, Ram Charan Teja is going to do a trendy love story to be directed by Bhaskar who gave wonderful film like Bommarillu in the past. This film will have USA backdrop.
Rajniknth and Shankar watched a special preview of Ram Chran Teja’s latest industry hit Magadheera in Chennai yesterday. Shankar said that Magadheera will be one of the most expensve and grand film made in entire South India. Rajnikanth said, “I watched a special preview of Chiruta when it was released and I predicted that he has it in him to become the biggest star. I am happy that he made my words true by giving a box-office shattering hit with Magadheera.”
It’s been Tamil films like Sivaji and Dasavatharam that made their presence felt in Kolkota. Magadheera is the first Telugu movie that is creating quite a buzz by getting continuous housefuls at Fame Cinemas at South City Mall. The Telegraph newspaper of Kolkota reported that Magadheera movie giving bollywood blockbuster like Love Aaj Kal a run for it’s money. It is nice to see a Telugu film doing exordinary business not only in AP and overseas, but also in the capital cities of other states.
 Ram Charan Teja: Ram Charan’s performance in his debut film Chiruta is like a show reel of what he is capable of doing. In this movie, he gets an opportunity to do some real good performance and he performs them convincingly with effortless ease. And he had gone through tremendous physical toil in this film as it involves horse riding, sword fighting, dances and many more. His dance in Bangaru Kodipetta after the completion of Chiranjeevi’s appearance is stunning. He is gifted with a good voice and he should fine tune it further to come up with pristine Telugu diction.
Story The story happens in the year 1609. Kala Bhairava (Ram Charan Teja) is the protector/cheif guard of Udayghad kingdom. Mitra (Kajal Agarwal) – the heir princess is in love with him. But there is a bad relative of the king who wants to marry her. Sher Khan (Srihari) plans to invade Udayghad. In the process ensued, all of them die. These four people take rebirth after 400 years in the contemporary era. Harsha (Ram Charan Teja) is a race biker. He falls in love with Indu (Kajal Agarwal). And a bad guy called Raghuveer is after her. The rest of the story is all about how they trace themselves back to the past and settle the unfinished business.
Gunashekar-Arjun combination is something one hasn't seen before. Well, the director has chosen a neat and nice script for Arjun and this will take off from 21st of this month. Heroine hasn't been finalized and there is a possibility that a new girl might be roped in. Mani Sarma provides tunes for this film. On the other hand Allu Arjun's cousin Ramcharan Tej's film release has been finalized, it will be out on April 9th and the title has been fixed as Magadheera.

He caught the attention of Telugu film lovers with his quick cameo in Chiranjeevi's Daddy. He created history by becoming the debutant hero with maximum number of 100 days centers (Gangotri - 100 days in 54 centers). From a frail body with pretty ordinary costumes in Gangotri to a muscular body with nothing less than Diesel, Nike t-shirts in Arya, Allu Arjun has come a long way. Idlebrain.com has caught up with Allu Arjun at his residence on 5th May. He looked very composed and cool even though he has 'Arya' release in a couple of days. Here are the excepts of an interview that lasted for more than 45 minutes... When the acting bug did caught you? It was the beginning on year 2002. I wanted to be in the profession of movies. I was about to go off to Canada and I got the offer of 'Jayam' film. For a few justified reasons, I could not act in film. Later on Gangotri happened. How did Daddy happen to you? It happened over night. We did not plan for it. I was a discotheque freak. On the sets of Daddy, Chiranjeevi asked me if I would like to do a small dance bit. And I could not resist saying yes! When every debutant hero is targeting youth by doing love stories and youth flicks, you chose to do a film that caters to family audiences? All I care about is a good script. For me the target audience is not the priority. All that matter to me is to be a part of good film. I am a modern city guy and the character in Gangotri is that of a naïve village boy. That character was not my cup of tea, but I did it because I knew that it works. And, of course who passes up the chance of doing K Raghavendra Rao's film. How is the experience of working for Gangotri? It was awesome. Working with a legendary director in his 100th film is a great privilege. The subject is a very sacred one. Tell us about Arya film? Arya (giggles). I just finished dubbing for the film. Arya is releasing on 7th May 2004 with 99 prints in approximately 120 centers. Arya has thronged into the hearts of music lovers and it has sold over 2 lakhs units so far. That's a pretty good figure for an album before the release of the film. If you observe the recent trend, even average films are doing well at box office because of the good music. I am happy the way 'Arya' is shaped up. Tell us about Arya character? Arya is a positive and cool guy. Kind of aggressive with his opinions and feelings! For example, if you happen to sit beside Aishwarya and Salman and you liked Aishwarya, you would hesitate to say so because of Salman. Arya is kind of a guy, who just speaks whatever is in his mind/heart. Arya is a one-side lover. There is no much response from the girl. The whole movie runs on the characterization and attitude of 'Arya'. The character of 'Arya' is not a common man character. But everybody would enjoy 'Arya' character. Tell us about director Sukumar? Sukumar and I are like great buddies. He is very young guy. Our wavelengths matched. He is very happy doing 'Arya' with me. He said that I delivered more than what he expected in this film. He saw me once getting out of a car and he observed me how I walk and greet people. That's when he decided that I was the one made for 'Arya' character. 'Arya' is a director's film. If I get good feedback about my histrionics and characterization, that credit goes to the director. If I am not good in the film, that credit also goes to Sukumar (giggles). How did the movie shape up? I liked the movie. I cannot say if the movie is good or bad because I am involved in it. But the film is definitely positive. Tell us about the heroine Anu Mehta? I have not felt like I worked with heroine at all. We have not interacted much, because we did not have many scenes together. She looks good and worked very hard. She has done a decent job. Who is your inspiration in acting? (Giggles). Do I need to tell who it is? Even before they read it, the visitors of idlebrain.com know the answer. Which part of acting did you pick from him? I picked up all aspects from him. I actually grew on him. There are certain compliments from my unit members that I performed like him in few scenes. It is so much imbibed in me that I deliver it subconsciously. Vhat I wish to strongly acquire from is his hardwork and dedication which is matchless. How many times did you watch his films? I watched Indra from 14-15 times. I absolutely love that film. Tagore I watched about 6-7 times. I would have watched it for many more number of times, but time did not permit me. Every time I watch Indra, I find something fresh and new in it. I feel lucky to act in the film of Aswini Dutt who produced Indra. What are you strengths? My background is my strength. My determination is also strength. I am flexible. I am adaptable both mentally and physically. The character of 'Arya' is a reflection of my ownself. What are you weaknesses? If I start telling about my weaknesses, you start looking at them only. I do not want to divert the attention of movie lovers by telling my weaknesses. You have your 2nd film's release in a couple of days. Are you feeling tenses? No! Actually, I am feeling numb. I worked hard for six months. I just completed dubbing for 'Arya'. I executed my part of work successfully. Every unit member is very happy with the outcome. Tell us about your next film Badrinath? Chinni Krishna is directing this film. The script work is going on. It takes some more time to get the solid script ready. This film would be made on my home banner Geeta Arts. We have not given official statement about this movie yet. We want to open it with a bang. It's a perfect mass film with Himalaya backdrop. My dad feels that unless the script is 100% ready, we should not may any announcement of it. How was the feedback for your performance in Gangotri? Yeah. I got feedback from all areas. I know which scenes I performed well and which scenes I did not. I am trying to improve upon the shortcomings. What kind of involvement do you have in your films? Obviously I involve, because it's my film. But I do trust the makers of the films, because I chose the right moviemakers like Raju. Do you have any buddies in the youth heroes? Prabhas, Tarun and all the heroes I interacted with are my friends. Before I came to industry, Allari Naresh is my friend. You are having films from Mani Rathnam (Yuva) and Mahesh Babu (Nani) releasing in the same season. Are you not feeling little nervous? When you have films from big people like them, there is always a little bit of tension. But let me be honest here. I am just listening to Nani songs now. I liked them, especially 1st and 3rd song. When Nani releases, I would love to watch it. I do not believe in any bullshit like we should not like the other films. If my film is good, it would run well. My films collections might get affected if the other films were good. I thoroughly enjoy watching all the films. In the last year, Dil was released during Gangotri time. I really loved watching Dil. I watched it four times. Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammai (ANOTA) was released after Gangotri. That film has some effect on the collections of Gangotri as well. But I thoroughly enjoyed watching ANOTA. What are the Telugu films you really liked in the recent times? Okkadu is a fantastic movie. I liked Manmadhudu, Malliswari, Tagore, Dil and ANOTA a lot. In the latest films, I liked Venky. What are your hobbies? Books, music, watching DVDs, play pool, pub hopping, catching up with cousins, and shopping to name a few. When I get some free time, I have lot many things to do. What kind of books do you read? I do read personality development books most of the film. My all time favorite has been 'Who moved my cheese' by Dr. Spenser Johnson. If you observe the poster designs of Gangotri and Arya, Gangotri had family outlook where photos of everybody were featured. In Arya, you seem to have monopolized them. Not even a single photo of heroine and other characters is found. Why is it so? The producer Raju does not want to show the heroine till the movie is released. Hence he featured me in all the posters. My mom scolded me that heroine's photo is not there on the posters. It was entirely the producer's decision. Hence, we started revealing heroine in trailers of Arya. What is the primary difference between target audiences of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan? Pawan Kalyan has got youngsters & general audience. Chiranjeevi has got mass and general audiences. Which kind of audiences you are targeting? I don't want to fix my audience. I go by the subject. Script has to be good. Gangotri catered to the general audiences and masses. Arya is targeted at youth. Badrinath is aimed at masses and general audiences. Tell us about the songs in Arya? There are six songs. Two songs were shot in Kerala. Two songs were shot in Hyderabad. Remaining two songs come in montages. 1. Takadhimithom: This is the first song in the film. It is a hero introduction song. Harish Pai did the choreography. It would be a pleasant surprise for the audiences. Visually this song is the best. 2. Feel My Love: Second song in the film. It is melody song picturized on hero about how much he loves heroine. It is a montage song. Nixon choreographed this song. He worked for films like Bobby and Varsham in the past. I am getting good feedback for the 'moon walk step' in the trailer from this film. 3. You Rock My World: This is the song before interval. Raju Sundaram has done a fantastic job for this song. It's a hip song. 4. Oh My brotheru: This song is the fourth one in the film. Ashok Master choreographed it. I dubbed my voice for a few dialogues in this song. It's a youth song. 5. A ante Amalapuram: This is the fifth song in the film. It's a complete mass song. Shankar choreographed it. 6. Nuvvante: This is the last song on the film taken on montages. It's a pure melody choreographed by Shankar Where do find the heroine in these songs? Almost all the songs are solo. Abhinaya Sri did the 'A ante Amalapuram' song. Being a producer son, do you involve yourself in production activities of the film as well? I am the son of a producer and a distributor. I know a lot about production and distribution. Raju is a premiere distributor in Nizam. I do not have to be worried about theaters. He has got us the fantastic theaters all over. Arya has best of the theaters in AP. Gangotri (Saptagiri) and Arya (Sudarshan 35) has renovated theatrical release in Hyderabad. Are you superstitious? I am not superstitious. But the producer Raju is. He keeps on comparing things in Gangotri with the things in Arya and feels happy about it. Here are few more similar things 1. Hero travel on cycle in both the films 2. There are kids in both films 3. Hero uses musical instruments in both the films. (flute in Gangotri and mouth organ in Arya) I heard that the prerelease of this film is around 7 crores. Is it true? I have no idea about it. I just finished my dubbing and had a fresh haircut. Can you believe it? I do not even know how much I am paid. In our unit, money has become secondary for all of us. All the team members have something to prove and we worked with passion. Making the movie success is out first priority. We are not interested in money as much we are in filmmaking. What is the involvement of your father in your film career? He leaves me as an individual, just like the fathers of any hero in the industry. I should climb and fall and realize the travails on my own. He takes care of general aspects like script. Once script is finalized, he would not involve. He feels that his pressure should not be on the project. Are you in the number game? Yes! I am! Show me who is not in the number game. I know where I stand now. Arya 2 is a forthcoming 2009 Telugu language film directed by Sukumar, and is a follow-up to the actor's and the director's previous successful film, Arya. Stylish star Allu Arjun plays the lead role, with Kajal Aggarwal and Shraddha Das playing the heroines [1]. The film, which began in October 2008, was suppose to be released on Oct 9th but has been reportedly postponed to November 18th or 25th [2]. Keeping in mind the 100 days run of Magadheera, the makers have taken this decision. Magadheera is going strong after completing 50 days run too, which is very rare to any Blockbuster. Already the Magadheera has shattered many records and it has been declared as an Industry Hit. As the 'Magadheera' film is still going strong at box-office, makers feel if "Arya 2" will be released, buyers may be forced to replace 'Magadheera' with this new one and hence they have decided to postpone the release. The audio was launched on November 1st.[3]. Aarya 2 is expected to hit screens in the second week of November. The audio launch would be held in this month. Kajal Agarwal is the female lead of the film. Sukumar, who directed the original is directing this movie too. Navdeep and Shraddha Das are doing supporting roles in this film.
